Are you an experienced and dedicated English educator with a passion for inspiring students? Remedy are seeking a Teacher of English to join a prestigious mainstream school in Witham. The school has a young ambitious teaching staff and exemplary behaviour management.
Responsibilities of English Teacher:
- Design and deliver dynamic lessons that cater to different learning styles and abilities, incorporating a variety of instructional strategies, resources, and technologies.
- Foster a love for literature and language by introducing students to a wide range of literary works, genres, and authors from diverse cultures and time periods.
- Cultivate students' writing skills through structured writing workshops, providing feedback and guidance to help them develop their voice and improve their written expression.
- Promote active reading and comprehension skills through thoughtful discussions, analysis, and interpretation of literary texts.
- Assess student progress through a variety of formative and summative assessments, providing timely and constructive feedback to support their growth.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects and initiatives that integrate English with other subjects, fostering cross-curricular connections.
- Stay informed about current trends, research, and best practices in English education, and continually enhance your own knowledge and skills.
- Actively engage with parents, guardians, and other stakeholders to foster open communication and collaboration in supporting student learning and development.
Requirements for English Teacher:
- Bachelor's degree in English, Literature, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Teaching certification or license in English or a relevant subject area.
- Proven experience in teaching English at the secondary level, with a track record of student success.
- Strong knowledge of English language, literature, grammar, and composition.
- Proficiency in instructional strategies and technologies that promote active learning and student engagement.
- Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment that respects and celebrates diversity.
- Strong organisational and time management skills to balance multiple responsibilities effectively.
