An excited opportunity for an Educational Psychologist to work within a secondary school in Slough. Are you ready to make a profound impact on the lives of children and young people? They are looking for either long term agency or a Permanent member of staff.

This is a term time only role (39 weeks to include INSET/Twilights)

Hours of work are 8.00am - 4pm, Monday to Thursday and 8.00am - 3.30pm on a Friday (37)

As an Educational Psychologist, you will be at the heart of this mission, supporting our teachers in meeting the additional needs of all pupils, particularly those representing vulnerable groups.

Your Role and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with our SENDCo to lead EHCPs, Annual Reviews, and Multi-Disciplinary meetings, providing vital psychological advice in line with SEND guidance.
  • Conduct one-on-one assessments and deliver comprehensive reports with actionable recommendations for support and referrals.
  • Support parents, teachers, and professionals involved in children's education, fostering a cohesive educational community.
  • Design interventions promoting psychological well-being, social, emotional, and behavioural development among our students.

Professional Development and Growth

  • Provide in-service training for staff on crucial issues such as staff well-being and behavioural understanding.
  • Stay updated with legislative changes, ensuring the Senior Leadership Team is informed, and advise on educational policies and provisions.

Collaborative Approach

  • Work closely with social care, health colleagues, and wider children's services to ensure efficient communication and joint planning.
  • Consult with multi-agency teams to determine the best approaches for supporting children's learning and development.
