To be successful, you will be an enthusiastic graduate who has a long history of academic success that includes a 2:2 or better in your degree and worked with children in either a volunteer or paid role. You should be able to demonstrate your devotion to a career in education and build positive relationships with your pupils. The ideal individual should be able to motivate their pupils to have self-belief and demonstrate their passion for SEN. As an EBD Teaching Assistant at this school you will be assisting with general support throughout the school and you will be teaching with a creative ethos. The school has designed specially adapted areas for SEN pupils which encourages a stimulating and interactive learning environment, and you will work in these classrooms with SEN pupils to help them further their academic and social achievements. You will be given the chance to lead small groups of pupils of varying ability, helping struggling pupils reach their targets and accelerating the progress of those who are gifted and talented.
