Job description

Remedy Education are looking for an Early Years TA for a wonderful primary school based in Croydon.

*Must have a minimum NVQ Level 3 Qualification in Child Care


The Role:
Early Years TAs are generally allocated to one class, although they may be asked to supervise other classes if teachers are absent. There are also floating assistants who support different classes depending on needs. Early Years TAs work under the direction of the Class Teacher, who has ultimate responsibility for the class, but a degree of initiative and self-motivation is expected. Candidate must have a minimum NVQ Level 3 Qualification in Child Care.

The School day is from 8.30 a.m. until 4 p.m. (to be ready to start work/morning duty for 8.30am).

The Successful Candidate Will:

  • Be confident enough to be hands on and use initiative to ease the pressure from the class teacher
  • Be able to commit to full time hours listed above
  • Have a minimum NVQ Level 3 in Childcare
  • Have previous experience working with Early Years
  • Be confident supervising activities independently
  • Be able to mount and display work/keep on top of the general tidiness of the class/ carry out standard TA duties
