Diabetes Trained Teaching Assistant - Lambeth South East London

Remedy Education are looking for a Diabetes trained Teaching Assistant to join our lovely school based in Lambeth.

You will be supporting a young students who has diabetes, you will support the students within the classroom as well as with their diabetes.

If an emergency appears this requires immediate treatment. In most cases this will be a hypo - low blood sugars - or a hyper - high blood sugars. It is important that you know the correct procedures to treat this.

Depending on how much support the child needs, you might be required to look after the child's insulin and equipment. This should always be easily accessible and never locked away. The child's IHP must make clear where it is kept.

This is a full time long term position starting ASAP.
