Cover Supervisor - Southwark, South East London - Secondary School

At Remedy we are working with a school in Southwark to recruit full-time cover supervisors that can make a difference to the local school by helping to improve the attainment of all pupils. This is a great opportunity to join a close-knit team and make a real difference to the lives of your pupils.

About the role

You will be leading lessons and covering in the absence of class teachers for varying subjects at a school in Southwark. The role is to start ASAP and will be continuing into the new academic year.

You will receive training provided by the school and Remedy Education, and will be a part of a close and dynamic team. This role has very little planning and marking. This is a good opportunity to work within a school whose aim is to develop young people so that they leave school not only with an excellent set of academic results but also demonstrate the values of respect, resilience and responsibility.

About you

• Experience working with students aged 11-16
• Flexibility to work in different subjects
• Availability on short notice for work the same day
• Confident managing behaviour
• An ability to build rapport with students
• Have a fun but firm presence
• An interest in education

We welcome applications from candidates with any level of experience, although previous experience of working with students of high school age will be an advantage. If you are an aspiring teacher, or an experienced cover supervisor looking for a position, this opportunity could be ideal for you. This role could also suit a candidate with experience of working as a Youth Worker or Behaviour Mentor.
