Core subject teachers needed in Thornton Heath for an out-of-school placement teaching Key stages 1-4 to local students who have either been excluded, home educated, young offenders, teen parents, those with medical needs, and those with challenging behaviour as well as a range of SEND students. Teaching in alternative provisions, outreach locations and the learner's own home.

Maths, English & Science experience needed

Successful candidates should be confident and inspiring and willing to help students achieve their maximum potential.

You should ideally have:

• Up-to-date knowledge of the National Curriculum
• An enhanced DBS (ideally on the update service)
• At least 2 years teaching or tuition experience in the UK
• A UK recognised teaching qualification

Working on a case-by-case basis, teachers should be able to work autonomously and be comfortable teaching in alternative education provisions. You may be allocated to teach in a student's home or meet students at a nearby location. You should also be confident to teach your subject across the curriculum and able to plan lessons to meet the IEP.
