Complex Needs Assistant

Remedy Education are working with a rewarding SEND school in Southwark to recruit various Teaching Assistants.

The school caters for secondary students with Autism, PMLD and Complex Needs. You will be working with a class of 5 - 9 pupils providing 1:1 and general class support.

Children are grouped based on age, however, there will be varying abilities, with some students being non-verbal, therefore PECs and Makaton are a must. There will also be personal care involved, and you must be prepared to assist with this.

*Applications for the position are welcome from candidates of ranging experience although previous experience working with students with SEND is an advantage.

You will:

• Have experience with Complex Needs (professional or personal)
• Are confident in supporting challenging behaviours
• Be able to demonstrate your ability to build professional relationships with
• students
