Job description

A School based in Wandsworth is looking to for an enthusiastic and motivated learning support assistant to support in a school which has students with challenging behaviour in September 2018.

They are looking for someone who can set clear and firm boundaries to effectively support learning, whilst also being able to differentiate work to suit the child's individual needs. You will work closely with the class Teachers, to help support them in the classroom. The role will be to working 1:1 with some students and also in a classroom setting supporting with behaviour and social interaction, as well as the National Curriculum.

The successful Learning Support Assistant will:

* Be able to support in a classroom, have previous experience

* Have at least 1 year of experience supporting children/adults with challenging behaviour

* Be highly motivated, enthusiastic and be willing to learn and develop new skills

This is a great opportunity for anyone who has a Criminology/Psychology degree, youth support or social work background, who is seeking to gain experience within a SEMH school.
