Job description

Our client, Blackburn and Darwen is looking for a qualified social worker to join their Assessment & Safeguarding.

Blackburn with Darwen Children's Services require 3 full time agency social workers to cover in its Assessment & Safeguarding Service in Blackburn from June. The role will be initially for 3 months then reviewed and may be extended.
The candidate will have at least 3 years post qualification experience in Referral and Assessment and/or longer term Safeguarding/CP/Court work in Local Authority frontline statutory social work teams.


The candidate must have a current Social Work England registration and be a car driver, with previous experience of the use of Protocol Liquid Logic an advantage but not essential.


You must have good communication skills and be a team worker with the ability to work independently and manage a caseload.


There will be both home-working and office-based working arrangements as per the service requirements so you will be required to work flexibly.

Essential requirements:
* Degree in Social Work or equivalent qualification
* Registration with Social Work England
* ASYE completed
