Hours: 08:30 - 1:50
Rate: £95 - £110
Are you looking for a new challenge working with children who struggle to adapt to a schooling environment?
We are recruiting for a passionate and experienced Behaviour Mentor/Teaching Assistant to join one of our leading SEN Secondary school located in South London and make a meaningful impact on the lives of the students in year 7.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with classroom teachers and special education professionals to support students with challenging behaviour ranging from ASD and ADHD
- Working in the inclusion unit within a Mainstream School
- Implement behaviour intervention plans and strategies to address individual student needs.
- Using different types of Behaviour Handling Approaches.
- Provide one-on-one or small-group support to students with behavioural challenges.
- Foster a safe and respectful classroom environment.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and behaviour.
- Collaborate with parents, teachers, and administrators to develop and implement effective solutions.
Qualifications:
- A relevant qualification in education, psychology, or a related field (not mandatory)
- Previous experience working as a Behaviour Mentor, Teaching Assistant, or in a similar role.
- Knowledge of behaviour management techniques and positive behaviour support.
- Understand different behaviour scenarios
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Empathy, patience, and the ability to build positive relationships with students.
- A commitment to promoting a positive school culture.
