A large, flourishing SEN school located in the London borough of Sutton has an opening for 2 Teaching Assistants to work within this large SEN school, supporting students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.

Remedy Education are currently recruiting for two LSA's to work with an ASD boy and an ASD girl in a lovely SEN school based in Sutton.

The positions are for experienced LSA's or Psychology grads with relevant experience with ASD students. The ideal candidates will be employed full time on a long terms supply basis as 1:1 Teaching Assistants. Opportunities for permanent work are also available in the school.

The day to day schedule will involve working closely with ASD pupils who experiences difficulties in the classroom and requires encouragement to engage in the curriculum. Supporting the SEN department with the day to day running of schedules and general duties is also required. You will also be comfortable working in one-to-one and in group settings with ASD children.

The ideal candidate should have experience working with children that have ADHD and Autism, as well as have experience in dealing with challenging behaviour. A can do attitude us also very important as is some knowledge of the Key Stage 2 and Key stage 3 curriculum.

There is an opportunity for the right individual to progress in a position with on going learning and development as a Teaching Assistant initially and potentially as a teacher.
