Are you looking to work in a brand-new secondary school?

We are looking for an Autism Specialist TA's to join one our most prolific SEN schools in South East London. You will be delivering the best support to students aged 11-16. The key aspect of this role is cohering to the behaviour de-escalation methods and promoting positive reinforcement strategies. We want your work to be in an environment where in which you can make a positive impact to the development of young pupils' lives.

The ideal candidate:

• Experience working with students with behavioural challenges, preferably in an educational or special education setting.
• Knowledge of behaviour management techniques, positive reinforcement strategies, and de-escalation methods.
• Ability to establish rapport and build positive relationships with students, demonstrating patience, empathy, and understanding.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.

Requirement:

• Must have strong SEN Experience.
• Candidates must have a valid DBS certificate on the update service (Not mandatory as we can provide one)
• Some knowledge of strategies in working with young people with challenging behaviours.
• CACHE Level 2 qualification or above.
• Basic knowledge of SEND and learning barriers.
• Safeguarding experience.
