Remedy Education are currently seeking a committed ASD Teacher to work within a school within Hackney. We are looking for ASD Teachers who are currently looking for long term and permanent roles for a ASAP start. The successful ASD Teacher will be working with children from Primary schools up to Post 16 SEN Schools. The ASD Teacher should have experience working with children with Autism (ASD) and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD). It would be beneficial if the ASD Teachers can use PECS (Picture Exchange System) and know Makaton however this is not essential.

The school currently has approximately 100 - 200 students between the ages of 3 -19 and have nearly 200 members of staff. They can support pupils with an array of complex needs such as: ASD, SLCN, Physical, Medical and Multi- sensory impairment. The school believes that it is essential that each pupil, is given an individual focus in order to create the best personalised pathway for each student. These school has fantastic facilities for both students and employees.

We are looking for ASD Teachers who is confident, resilient, committed, driven, flexible and someone who can take initiative. We are looking for ASD Teachers who are available ASAP. As this vacancy is a September start, it is key for any new member of staff that joins the school that a smooth transition takes place, in order to create minimal disruption for the students and staff.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience working with children with complex needs in either a mainstream or a special school.

The school is close to public transport links and has onsite parking for staff.

Qualifications Required: QTS

Salary: £160 - £200 per day

Hours: 8:30 - 4:30 Monday to Friday
