SEND Teacher for ASD Class - All-Through SEND School (Greenwich)
We are seeking an excitable, energetic, and passionate SEND Teacher to join a well-established all-through SEND school in Greenwich. The role involves working with a class of 8 students aged 10-12, all with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and behavioral challenges. Some students are non-verbal, while others are high-functioning, requiring a creative and dynamic approach to teaching.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create a lively and nurturing environment that motivates and supports students with diverse needs.
- Design and deliver engaging, individualised lesson plans in line with each student's EHCP.
- Manage challenging behaviors with positivity and energy, using effective strategies.
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and other support staff.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is essential
- Previous experience working with children with ASD and behavioral difficulties.
- High energy, enthusiasm, and a genuine commitment to supporting SEND learners.
