Role: ASD Support Assistant
Location: East London
Contract: Full time
Start: ASAP
Rate: £90-100
Do you have a strong passion for working in SEN? If so, we are looking for an exciting new opportunity after the half term. A creative and inclusive Primary School are looking for confident, ambitious, and outgoing Support Assistants to provide support students with SEN within a mainstream school.
The ideal candidate:
- Experience working with students with behavioural challenges, preferably in an educational or special education setting.
- Knowledge of behaviour management techniques, positive reinforcement strategies, and de-escalation methods.
- Ability to establish rapport and build positive relationships with students, demonstrating patience, empathy, and understanding.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year school experience
- CACHE level 3 qualification or Equivalent
- Safeguarding experience
- GCSE Maths and English
