SEN Teaching Assistant (ASD/ PDA)

SEN Teaching Assistant - ASAP Start - Long term - Greenwich

A Specialist school based in Greenwich are currently looking for a strong SEN TA with the ability to work with children that have ASD and severe challenging behaviours. Students come from boroughs, which reflects a diverse community with the age range of 11 - 19.

This role is solely for those who have a passion for children with ASD, are patient and resilient. These young people have come from a range of different backgrounds and environments that have affected and shaped their emotional needs and thought process to life. Children and young people with severe behaviour difficulties normally struggle to communicate their feelings, which can prevent them from moving forward; however, with consistent, strong and firm support they have a great chance of thriving.

The ideal candidates for this position will have:

  • Experience working with ASD and PDA
  • Flexibility - Willing to work across different age groups and classes
  • A full clear Enhanced DBS
  • The ability to create and maintain relationships
