Remedy Recruitment Group are currently seeking an experienced Approved Mental Health Practitioner (AMHP) worker to work within a Local Authority based in East London.

Job Purpose

• To act as a member of staff for the Local Authority Adult Mental Health service providing an effective and efficient Care Act appropriate service to vulnerable adults with high mental health support needs and their carers, within the community or in a hospital setting.
• To liaise closely with the local Mental Health Trust, Primary Care and with other parts of the mental health services in the private and voluntary sector.
• To undertake Mental Health Act Assessments. To work as a full time Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP).

About you

• Degree in Social Work, Dip SW, CQSW.
• AMHP
• To be registered as a Social Worker with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
• Knowledge of the workings of the Mental Health Act and Mental Capacity Act and its implications.
