Job description

Our client, Leeds City Council, is looking for an Advanced Practitioner, to join their Child and Family team.

Leeds City Council, require an experienced Social Worker who is able to manage a caseload comprising of Child and Family Assessments, Child in Need, Child Protection, Child Care Proceedings until permanence. This caseload will have a level of complexity and lead worker responsibilities working alongside other social workers, it will not have supervisory / line manager responsibilities. Social workers should be able to practice restoratively with child and families and promote family led decisions to manage risk and meet support needs.

Applicants must demonstrate excellent relational work with children and families and be able to engage children through direct work and child centred practice.

Organisation skills and ability to meet competing demands are required to ensure practice standards, good quality and practice and performance.

Social workers will need to work as part of a busy but supportive team and share their knowledge and skills to promote the learning culture.

Must be office based for duty but hybrid working is negotiable dependant on the needs of the team (due to the relational approach of the organisation, it is envisaged this will be office based on duty weeks and one WFH home day/compressed hours on non-duty).
