Q - Are you looking to gain some direct SEN experience at a fantastic SEN primary school?

An 'Outstanding' Lambeth SEN Primary School in South East London is looking for two MALE SEN Teaching assistants to work with a range of needs from: Autism (ASC), ADHD, PMLD and a range of behaviour issues (SEMH). This role will also involve you supervising the boys changing room during PE as well as the possibility of some low-level personal care; hence the male focus.

The SEN Primary School has an excellent teaching and therapy team who are committed to ensuring the pupils get the most from their education. If you are a graduate with a strong academic background and experience working in SEN, then this is the ideal role for you.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Male Primary SEN Teaching Assistants x2
  • Focus on supporting children with: Autism (ASC), ADHD and a range of SEMH
  • Working alongside the Class Teacher and the therapy team following a learning plan
  • September 2019- July 2020, Full-Time, Term-Time Only
  • £70 - £90 per day, strong possibility of an increase after 12 weeks
  • Located in Lambeth

PERSON SPECIFICATION

  • Must have a degree from a reputable University required (Psychology or related, ideally)
  • Previous SEN experience is desirable - PMLD experience would be perfect!
  • Must be confident within your ability and look to go above and beyond for the child
  • Strong passion SEN is required
