Job description

Remedy Education are currently working with a two-form entry primary school based in Lewisham who require a SEND teaching assistant to provide 1:1 support for a Year 1 pupil with social, emotional and mental health needs and MLD.

The ideal teaching assistant will be energetic and creative and be able to motivate and inspire pupils in their care. You will ideally have previous experience dealing with SEMH and Challenging behaviour and have a sound understanding of the Key Stage 2 curriculum. Team Teach training is highly desirable but not essential. This is an amazing position for someone who is passionate about working with students with challenging behaviour and an opportunity to be a positive role model and make a real difference.

This is a full-time role to start in September 2019 and continue on for the rest of the academic year.

1:1 SEMH Teaching Assistant working with a Year 1 student

Full time (Mon-Fri)

The ideal candidate:
Experience working with Key Stage 2 pupils

Experience with SEMH, EBD and MLD

Team Teach- not essential but highly desirable.
