Primary 1:1 Teaching Assistant - Southwark - £95-£115 per day

We are currently recruiting for a resilient and experienced 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with very severe SEN and behavioural needs in a welcoming Primary school in Southwark.

This is a highly rewarding but demanding role, ideal for someone confident managing complex needs and significant behavioural challenges within a structured school environment.

The Role:

• Providing dedicated 1:1 support for a pupil with severe SEN and behavioural needs

• Implementing personalised support strategies and structured routines

• Managing and de-escalating high-level challenging behaviour

• Supporting emotional regulation, communication and social development

• Working closely with the class teacher, SENCO and external professionals

• Maintaining a safe, consistent and supportive learning environment

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Proven experience supporting children with severe SEN

• Strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills

• Experience with ASD, SEMH, or other complex needs

• A calm, patient and resilient approach

• Confidence working 1:1 within a Primary school setting

• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to obtain one)
