Remedy Recruitment Group are looking for a Youth Resilience Youth Justice Case Worker for Achieving for Children.

Job Purpose

● The Youth Resilience Youth Justice worker will be responsible for effective management of a designated caseload of young people across both boroughs under the care of the Youth Justice Service.
● To maximise welfare and safeguarding of young people to prevent them from re-offending.
● To ensure that all practice adheres to national standards and locally agreed protocols
● To undertake effective assessment and care planning process within youth justice (using a YJB approved tool for example Asset+).
● To safeguard all children and young people, making sure robust risk management takes please to manage assessed vulnerabilities and risk to protect children and young people and where appropriate members of the general public in relation to youth justice service delivery, ensuring young offenders serve their sentence.
● To make every effort to ensure support packages are personalised to the needs of young people and their families in line with the Youth Resilience intervention framework to achieve best outcomes and where appropriate compliance with the youth justice sentence, preventing re-offending.
● To prepare high quality PSRs and work in close collaboration with Court Practice lead to ensure that young people involved in offending are supported to engage effectively with Court process.
● To work restoratively with all young offenders and victims of crime in line with the service restorative approach principles and standards.
● To work effectively in partnership with children's social care, Police, Probation, health, education, SPA, housing, third sector and post 16 education providers to ensure that support to young people and their families is delivered in a coordinated way with robust risk management arrangements in place, working to the principles of team around the child, family and community.
● To deliver effective practice in line with national standards for youth justice.
● To record all interventions and case work records on a designated case management system timely and ensure that all required information is written and stored in accordance with local policies and quality assurance programmes.
● To undertake all duties and interactions with employees, partner providers and customers fairly, without unlawful discrimination and with due regard to AfCs Diversity and Equality in Employment and Service Delivery policies.
● To manage an agreed caseload of children and young people in compliance with casework objectives, statutory and departmental policy and procedural requirements, consistently maintaining the highest level of professional standards.
● To maintain an awareness of own professional limitations and knowledge gaps. To make effective use of supervision and appraisal as an opportunity to critically reflect on casework and to identify learning and development needs to continually improve upon practice; and to support continual professional development.
