This role is;

To allocate work and monitor the workload within the YOT including the oversight of unallocated work where necessary, and the transfer and closing of cases
To have management oversight, and keep abreast of developments in all cases supervised by the YOT
To supervise the preparation of pre-sentence reports and other court reports in line with National Standards and to monitor the quality of pre-sentence reports across the team
To draw up duty rotas providing cover for office and court based services
To think creatively and imaginatively in order to solve complex professional problems concerning children and young people and their families, and to negotiate solutions with colleagues and other professionals.
