Job description

Our client Wigan council is looking for 3X advanced Practitioners to join their Locality/ disabilities team.

2x for locality teams

1 x for Disability Team

Role is one of deputy manager. Holding some complex cases (CP and/or Court Proceedings); supporting the manager; chairing meetings; and providing supervision of ASYEs. The Disability AP will also supervise 2 unqualified family support workers

posts are 37 hrs per week

Posts are flexible and have the option for home working

Disability and 1 x AP post is based at Wigan Life Centre, the other AP post is at Leigh Town Hall

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced social worker to step into a deputy manager role and gain experience of chairing meetings (strategy meetings, etc) and supervise staff, whilst still maintaining the hands on experience.
Wigan provides flexible working (hours and home working) and free parking.
Agency workers are able to attend training and will have other developmental opportunities

Essential requirements:
* Degree in Social Work or equivalent qualification
* Registration with Social Work England
* ASYE completed
