Early Intervention Project Coordinator

Remedy Recruitment are currently working with the local authority in London and are currently seeking an experienced Early Intervention Project Coordinator, this is a fast past exciting role that sits within the housing needs.

Main Duties and Responsibilities-

  • To work as part of an innovative homelessness prevention service (The Early Intervention Project) operating across Westminster
  • To manage a team of front line workers, identifying and assessing households at risk of future homelessness
  • Coordinate and monitor case management systems
  • Build new, and enhance existing, statutory, voluntary and community sector partnerships to facilitate in developing pathways and provision for at risk households
  • To support the Trailblazer Project lead to embed and trial the new prevention homelessness duties proposed in the Homelessness Reduction Act Collate and analyse data to report to DCLG

The successful candidate will require the following-

  • To support the Project Lead in delivering a specialist Early Intervention service, to maximise service quality and prevent homelessness.

  • To maintain, develop and review systems, processes and procedures for the delivery of the service.

  • To identify, build new, and enhance existing, statutory, voluntary, community sector and landlord partnerships to facilitate in developing pathways and provision for at risk households and set up co-location agreements for front line staff

  • To lead on management of the case management system ensuring that data collection and recording is accurate, of a high quality and in line with the DCLG requirements.

  • To manage and support a team of front line staff effectively, to identify households at future risk of homelessness, and complete in depth, holistic and SMART needs and risk assessments addressing all areas of support need as well as the household's strengths to build resilience and capability and ultimately prevent homelessness in a sustained way.

  • To research and map existing local provision

  • To immediately report to the Project Lead issues that require escalation, including safeguarding concerns, or information that is likely to become subject to press or public interest.

  • To keep abreast of current housing and benefit legislation and other matters relevant to successful support and homeless prevention of households and ensure this is cascaded to the team

  • To be highly flexible and willing to undertake all other duties as required.
