• To lead and manage the team through clear and measured commitment to the delivery of an outcome focused and person centered delivery. Ensuring that standards of excellence are maintained through efficient quality assurance, monitoring and evaluation.
• To ensure that all staff understand and are responsible for ensuring safeguarding policies and procedures are adhered to, to ensure the safety of all clients. To act as a point of information/direction as and when required.
• To lead a team of care managers and care workers, to deliver effective staff performance and promote the development of staff through induction, probation, supervision, evaluation and the Delivering Successful Performance system. To undertake investigations regarding capability/disciplinary concerns as and when required.
• To be proactive, innovative and creative in looking at ways to improve service delivery.
• To be proactive in developing relationships with internal and external partners, including families and carers; health and external providers
• Responsible for ensuring that changes in legislation and practice are communicated accordingly to all staff and relevant statutory bodies.
• To develop and analyse data to identify areas of the service that need addressing and managing the relevant changes required to predict change, inform developments or improve performance.
• To be accountable for the management of the service budgets. Responsible for forecasting future spend, delivering efficiencies across the service, and effectively managing resources within budget.
• To lead the service through significant change, taking responsibility for stakeholder engagement with clients, families, carers, staff, internal partners and third parties, in order to develop a culture of best practice.
