A unique opportunity has been created within the Local Authority Corporate Parenting service for a Team Manager's post with specific reference to Care Leavers. This is a one year contract. About the role:

* The Care Leavers' Service is a borough wide service made up of four teams where Leaving Care Coaches (Leaving Care Service) are embedded within the child care teams. You will have joint responsibility with the other team managers overseeing the performance and directions of care leaver's cases.
* You will be a pro-active analytical thinker, with experience of working within a multi-agency context as well as a sound knowledge and understanding of safeguarding children and vulnerable adults within the context of leaving care service. You will need to be a strong team worker, who brings ideas for service delivery and work in partnership with young people.
* You will be part of developing and supporting a service for care leavers in line with relevant legislation and regulations including for Unaccompanied Asylum Seekers. We aim to support young people to strive towards the shared purpose of achieving independence, choice and the best possible outcomes where relationship makes a difference is at the heart of what we do.
* You will be responsible for quality assuring pathway plans, making sure that plans are sound and that transitions plans for young people into leaving care is smooth. You will offer expertise advice and support to managers and practitioners and network with the necessary departments and services in supporting Leaving Care Coaches accessing the necessary services available to them.
