Remedy Education is currently looking for teaching assistants for a secondary school located in Lambeth. The school's location makes it easily accessible by car, bus and other modes of transport. It is a truly remarkable school, fully equipped with a sensory room, a sensory garden as well as a life-skills class (amongst other things). The lovely staff are headed up by a very enthusiastic and supportive management team with serious ambitions of making a difference in the local borough. The role involves supporting students aged 11-19 with ASD, PMLD, SLD and Complex Needs. Either in a 1-to-1 capacity or across a classroom in junction with a teacher and other teaching assistants. Thus, previous experience either in a similar setting, or through training is necessary. Successful candidates will be proactive, calm, patient and most importantly willing to commit to the role long-term if needed. As positions will be full-time, flexibility is also required on the part of applicants to meet the needs of both the school and the pupils who need it most.

Role requirements:

• LSA / TA experience (advantageous)
• Availability for the hours 8:30-4:15.
• Previous valid DBS or happy paying £50 for a new DBS to secure the role.
• Manual handling (advantageous)
• Previous SLD, PMLD, ASD or Complex Needs experience.
• Ideal candidates will be proactive, patient and willing to learn.

Full time Role - September start date, interviews/trial days yet to be confirmed.
