SEN Teaching Assistant - Greenwich, South East London - ASAP start!

Q - Do you have a sound understanding and experience of Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC) and SEMH?

An 'Outstanding' Secondary School in the South East London borough of Greenwich are looking for an ambitious experienced Graduate Teaching Assistant with a good knowledge of Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC) to work within the school on a full-time, long-term basis.

The role will see you assisting range of students with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including pupils who have a diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC) and with some students who have behavioural (SEMH) difficulties.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain invaluable additional classroom experience while working alongside (and learning from) experienced SEN Teachers and therapeutic professionals, such as Speech & Language Therapists and Educational Psychologists.

Teaching Assistant (ASC / SEMH) - The Person:

  • Experienced SEN/SEMH Teaching Assistant - Graduates Only
  • Ideally suited to ambitious Psychology Graduates - 1st Class or 2:1
  • Knowledge of Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC) and SEMH is ideal
  • Ambitious, team player, personable and passionate about helping SEN children
  • Keen to engage in CPD opportunities, eager to progress your career

Teaching Assistant - SEN - The Role:

  • Assisting the class teachers in this vibrant Secondary School
  • Assisting across a mixture of phases and year groups
  • Small groups and 1:1 sessions
  • Full-time, long-term, £70 - £90 per day - ASAP start until at least the end of July 2019
