Teaching Assistant - Autism and Speech & Language Focus - Southwark - September start

A wonderful Mainstream Primary school in the Southwark area is looking to take on an exceptional SEN Teaching Assistant for a long-term position.

The school provides a fun, safe and welcoming learning environment for each pupil and Teaching Assistants can enjoy plenty of 1:1 sessions with pupils on a daily basis. Academic, social and emotional development are at the centre of what this excellent school aims for achieve for every pupil.

SEN Teaching Assistant - The Person:

  • Must be a Graduate. Ideally suited to Psychology Graduates
  • Professional mindset, hardworking, empathetic, team player and willing to learn new skills
  • Must be able to commit for the long-term, until at least July 2020

SEN Teaching Assistant - The Role:

  • To establish fantastic relationships with the students while displaying role model behaviour
  • Working closely with the class teachers and the team of multidisciplinary professionals
  • Providing high levels of both academic, emotional and practical support for each student
  • £70-£80 per day
  • Full-time and long-term

SEN Teaching Assistant - The School:

  • A fantastic SEN school in the north London borough of Southwark
  • Students aged between 5-11 years of age
  • Students have a range of special educational needs including Autism and ADHD
  • Access via London Underground, local bus route and with onsite staff car parking available
  • Hugely supportive Senior Leadership Team
