To be considered for this SEN Teaching Assistant opportunity you must have the following:

  • 1st or 2:1 degree - Russell Group (preferable) in psychology or a core subject
  • A passion to support others
  • SEN experience
  • Prior school, education or tutoring experience would be preferred
  • Strong behaviour management

In this SEN Teaching Assistant role you would be working 1:1 and on a group basis with students with mild to severe Special Educational Needs, SEN, to ensure that they receive encouragement and support with their school work. You would be working with an SEN department who specialise in ensuring that these students are provided with the best education possible.

To be considered for this SEN Teaching Assistant role you must be a graduate with a passion to work within Special Educational Needs. You need to hold a supportive and caring manner with a "firm but fair" approach.

The school will want to see graduates with the ambition to become Child or Educational Psychologists/ Teachers keen to build relevant experience in a paid role providing support on a 1:1 basis with a child who has autism and communication difficulties.
