Autism Support Specialist - ASD Teaching Assistant - Islington, London

I am currently working alongside a mainstream school located within the London Borough of Islington who are looking for caring and supporting individuals who are confident and ready to make a positive impact on the lives on some inspiring children in KS1 and KS2

Whether you're a highly experienced 1:1 ASD specialist looking for a new role or you are Graduate who has experience of supporting autistic students in either a mainstream or specialist settings then this is the right role for you.

The school are looking for a positive candidate who possesses the ability to handle challenging situations. You must have an empathetic nature and passion for SEN that is obvious to all of those around you.

In this ASD Teaching Assistant post you will be working both within the small, specialised classes and in a 1:1 support role, aiding the progression and development of all the students within the provision. The students also benefit from integration within the mainstream classes for some areas of the curriculum, for which the appointed ASD Teaching Assistant will be required to provide assistance.
