On behalf of a fantastic primary school in Lambeth, Remedy Education is looking for a KS1 Teaching Assistant with experience in working with young people with autism.

The school has a very friendly atmosphere and a supportive environment for both staff and pupils. The school has a "Outstanding" Ofsted rating and is well respected in the local community.

This is a long term position to start ASAP for the remaining of the academic year. This school also offers potential for progression into a permanent role.

The successful applicant will be expected to;

  • To have SEND experience.
  • Be able to use PECS and Makaton as communication aids
  • Support the teacher in managing pupil behaviour.
  • Reinforce learning in small groups or with individuals.
  • Assisting pupils with literacy and numeracy skills and to help keep them on task.

This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference to young people. It is essential for the appointed candidate to have the ability to build positive relationships which help to break down barriers and to help the pupils build their self-esteem .
