Job description

our client Somerset council are currently looking for a social worker to join their childrens team.

A Practice Supervisor is required to join SCC's Fostering team (WEST). This role is based covering the WEST of the County along the M5 corridor - from Wellington up to Bleadon (on the outskirts of Weston-Super-Mare) encompassing, Taunton, Bridgwater, Burnham & West Somerset. You will manage & supervise a team of up to 3-5 Social Workers & hold up to 3-5 complex cases.

This role will have an emphasis on Quality & Assurance - You'll be supported by the senior management team to assist with DIP Audits & Practice Evaluations.

Our teams are based across Somerset & there will be large elements of working from home - we are open to flexible working options - However, you will need to be based within driving distance of the county in order to fulfil the requirements of your own caseload & the needs of your team and carers.

We're supporting flexible working arrangements and our offices meet the Covid-19 Secure standards. We're using risk assessments and where needed, PPE to protect our social workers. Good technology is provided to help you stay connected to your team and manager through virtual meetings, team check-ins and service sessions.

Essential requirements:
* Degree in Social Work or equivalent qualification
* Registration with Social Work England
* ASYE completed
