Job Description: Job Purpose

To provide a range of Early Help and preventative interventions and support designed to meet family needs in a flexible and responsive way. Guided by the principles of Restorative Practices you will work in family homes and communities, completing direct work with children, young people and their families. You will deliver formal and informal restorative approaches including mediation and Family Group Conferencing. Other aspects of the role include completing Early Help Assessments and Team around the Family (TAF) meetings, working directly with schools, children and families to prevent exclusion, working with carers and young people to reduce placement breakdown and providing parenting support.

Essential Requirements

* Experience of whole family working, direct work with children and young people/adolescents and of working at an Early Help threshold.

*Experience of undertaking assessments and providing direct support to families.

*Excellent communication and relationship building skills.

* Experience of delivering Family Group Conferencing and delivery of Restorative Approaches would be an advantage but is not essential.

Candidate will;

- be delivering direct work, supporting parents with children's behaviour, mental health, self harm, parenting, school exclusion etc.

- may also deliver Family Group Conferences and carry out Early Help Assessments

- be qualified at Level 3 NVQ or equivalent in Health & Social Care, children's Workforce, Childcare, or above.
