This is a key leadership and operational management post which will oversee a busy and high functioning service of over twenty strategic and operational staff.

The Service Manager sets and deliver the vision and strategy for Early Years in Newham, improving outcomes for over 25,000 children 0-4 in the borough by enabling their access to high quality childcare and support.

Through technical and leadership expertise in strategic commissioning of the Early Years market in Newham, the Service Manager will ensure the efficient and impactful use of the £35 million Early Years budget; establish sufficient, sustainable, high quality childcare in Newham; build important partnerships across the sector; and drive and maintaining standards across the broad range of provision in the borough through the use of technical quality frameworks.
