Staffordshire, Advanced Practitioner, Adult Safeguarding, £29.50ph

An experienced Adult Practitioner is urgently needed for a busy safeguarding team based in Staffordshire.

The team's decision-making resource is focused on presenting and identified risk. They have a large workload built up of what appears to be non-threshold work. This will be the focus of the role and they anticipate this will take in the region of 2 -3 months

Main duties include:

  • Undertake all initial safeguarding decisions for the LA and due to demand they require a skilled worker to increase team capacity.
  • The work can be home based as the intended task / project is for this worker to target what is anticipated closures in our safeguarding processes
  • Ensure that any suspected abuse of an adult with care and support needs is reported in accordance with the Adult Safeguarding Policy and Procedures.
  • Promote awareness of the Adult Safeguarding Policy and Making Safeguarding Personal.
  • Safeguard adults with care and support needs by promoting their health and wellbeing.
  • Promote the prevention of abuse of adults with care and support needs.
  • Ensure any provider service deficiencies are reported to the relevant commissioner

Essential requirements:

  • Degree in Social Work or equivalent qualification
  • Registration with Social Work England
  • ASYE complete
  • Experience with Adult Safeguarding
  • Car driver
