My client primary school in Lambeth are looking to recruit a Speech and Language Teaching Assistant to join them on a full time on-going basis. The school are looking for candidates that hold a degree/diploma in Speech and Language and that have ideally worked with pupils of a primary age. However, any experience of supporting speech and language in children or adults will be considered.

The school is located close to Brixton station. The school serves the whole of the local neighbourhood and surrounding areas. Although the school has a Christian foundation they welcome children from all backgrounds.

The School aims to develop each child's potential to the full, recognising the diversity of gifts each child brings to the School. They seek to create an atmosphere of openness and honesty, tolerance, courtesy and sensitivity to the needs of others. As with all primary schools there are a percentage of pupils that have certain barriers to learning focused around speech and language difficulties.

As a speech and language therapist the recruited graduate will be responsible for assessing and treating all related issues as well as liaising with the senior leadership team and class teachers.

The school require a graduate that has the right attitude and personality for working with young pupils; this means a warm and caring nature and a real desire to help the students overcome barriers to learning.

This is a fantastic school and one where you can really develop your skills and ability in your chosen field. If you meet the above criteria, then please email a copy of your CV to Carly Walters at Remedy Education.
