Job description

Do you enjoy working with special needs children and young people? Inspiring them to achieve and realise their true potential? Are you available for an immediate start?

Remedy Education Services are looking for experienced, enthusiastic and qualified teaching assistants to work with children and young people from KS1 - KS3/4 across various SEN and/or SEMH settings in and around South East London.

Duties and Responsibilities include to:

  • Assess and monitor pupils' work and feedback to learners, families and other professionals
  • Organise your classroom area, resources and displays to provide a stimulating learning environment for students and in collaboration with the teacher
  • Report and assess learner behaviour
  • Deliver tailored teaching activities to pupils on a one-to-one or group basis
  • Support and assess the personal, social and emotional development of learners, reporting any issues as necessary
  • Safeguard all learners and ensure their safety and wellbeing at all times

To apply for these positions you will need to have experience working with children and young people with SEN, PMLD, SLD or SEMH with excellent communication skills and the ability to deal with possible challenging behaviour.
