The School - Senior SEN Teaching Assistant

The Hostpital school is roughly a 15-minute walk from the nearest train station, there are also several buses you can get. This is a fantastic "Outstanding" specialist SEN school that caters for students aged 4-19, with a wide range of developmental disabilities. They have a good team who can provide excellent training and support, regardless of whether you are employed on a permanent or temporary basis. The school has access to speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, a dietitian, health care assistants and a school nurse who are all based on school sites. They also work very closely with the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS).

The Role - Senior SEN Teaching Assistant

This Senior SEN Teaching Assistant role is within a brilliant SEN school that I have the pleasure of working closely with. They are looking for a Senior SEN Teaching Assistant who has previous experience within SEN and someone who can work to inspire and achieve! The ideal candidate will have worked in a school with students that have a range of complex needs such as ASD and SLD. The role would require the candidate to be comfortable dealing with some aspects of personal care. As an SEN Teaching Assistant you would be supporting the emotional, social and academic development of the students you work with to optimise learning and maximise comfort.
