A Senior Development Surveyor is needed to test and analyse planning viability assessments submitted as part of planning applications to ensure policy compliant or otherwise satisfactory outcomes to those applications

To manage, develop and deliver the statutory and non-statutory Strategic Property functions across the Council's entire Property Portfolio, with specific focus on major housing and town centre regeneration projects Borough wide

To actively contribute to the physical, economic and social regeneration of the Borough and the wider sub-region, ensuring development is of high quality, responds to climate change at a local level and delivers policy objectives as set out in Government, regional and local planning policy frameworks and related strategies

To ensure the service meets specified performance targets and achievement of Council objectives. To monitor and assess the key performance indicators required to deliver key development/regeneration projects

To act on the Head of Property Strategy & Projects authority on a wide range of issues, including dealing with issues of strategic importance raised by and with Chief Officers and leading members ensuring that issues are resolved satisfactorily.

To promote the Property Strategy & Projects team and ensure it deals professionally, courteously and confidentially with enquiries from senior officers of the Council elected Members, members of the public and external organisations.

To contribute to the leadership and development of strategic property functions for both the Directorate and the Council. In particular to be responsible for leading on Dalston Town Centre regeneration projects ensuring effective use of the Council's land and buildings maximising both capital and income generation. Providing all property valuation and development expertise.

To deliver ongoing and demonstrable improvements in access to services for Council residents and customers.

To assist in the preparation, management and implementation of the Council's regeneration strategies

To deputise for the Head of Property Strategy & Projects in all matters relating to statutory functions, ensuring these are met and that accelerated and sustained improvements in performance against Government and local targets are achieved in relation to property strategy and projects.
