SEND Teacher, Greenwich

The SEND Team at Remedy Education are currently recruiting for a SEND Teacher for a provision in Greenwich which caters for pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

This is a small school with pupils between KS3 and KS4, who have a range or SEMH needs as well as Autism, ADHD and moderate learning difficulties.

We are seeking a Teacher with previous experience teaching children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs who display challenging behaviours. Candidates must have an understanding around the complexities of SEMH and in teaching a curriculum to young people with behaviours that challenge.

This a full time position, working on an ongoing basis to commence immediately. Team Teach certificate is highly desired for this role although not essential as training can be provided.

We are looking for candidates with:

• Previous experience teaching children with SEND
• Experience using positive and effective behaviour management strategies (A Team Teach qualification is desired)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A DBS that is on the update service (or be prepared to undertake a new DBS with Remedy Education)
