An outstanding opportunity has arisen for a diligent and professional SENCO to join a Secondary school located in South East London.


** SENCO post available January 2018
** Long term role which can be offerd on a Full-Time or Part-Time (3 days per week) basis

The SENCO Person Specification
To be considered you will need to be a accomplished, experienced teacher with a solid knowledge of the latest SEN Code of Practice. You will possess the necessary leadership experience to govern teaching support staff and be able to hit the ground running. You will have a naturally empathetic demeanor and ability to build strong relationships quickly with both parents, staff and external agencies.

About the SENCO Role
To be successful in your application for this SENCO role you will either need to hold the National Award for SEN co-ordination or be working towards this. Part of your role will include coming up with the best way to help individual SEN students and then formulating IEPs. Your responsibilities will include monitoring the progression of students through levels ensuring relevant interventions are provided. An integral and fundamental responsibility of this role will be to develop and maintain effective liaison with any external agencies and pupils parents, which in itself can prove challenging.
