Do you have a keen interest in supporting children with Autism and are now an aspiring Teacher?

Would you be keen to gain experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant, earning £75 - £95 per day?

This is an SEN Teaching Assistant role supporting a child on the autistic spectrum who needs support to access the curriculum, and would be perfect for a passionate psychology graduate with aspirations to be a Teacher. If this sounds like you, read on!

Primary SEN Teaching Assistant - behaviour

Psychology Graduate- 2:1 or higher

Experience or interest in ASD/ASC

Specialist unit in a mainstream school

Autism training available

Perfect school based experience

School based in Lambeth and Southwark

Full-time hour Mon- Friday, start ASAP

Earn up to £95 per day

The school is keen to appoint a highly academic graduate keen to start a career within SEN. All the children in the unit have funding for additional support for autism. Children here progress well and have 1:1 support in the following areas;

  • Social Communication and Interaction
  • Emotional Regulation (learning to understand their feelings and manage their own behaviour)
  • Increasing flexibility of thinking and behaving

These measures will be key to helping children access the curriculum and a big part of you role will be recording progress in these key areas alongside the more general learning goals. Supported by the SENCo will put you in a great position to kick-start your role as an educational psychologist and this role could be perfect for you!
