SEN Teaching Assistant - Makaton Experience - Greenwich, South East London - September 2019

A small & friendly SEN Primary School in the heart of Greenwich, South East London are looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team for a September start. The Headteacher is looking for someone who is experienced and competent with the use of Makaton. The role will involve you supporting students within their classroom aged between 4-11 years of age at this Ofsted rated 'Outstanding' primary school.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • SEN Teaching Assistant
  • Knowledge of Makaton and/or British Sign Language (BSL) would be of interest
  • Long-term & full-time position (term-time only)
  • (£70-£80 per day) - Scope for an increase after 12 working weeks
  • Located in the London Borough of Greenwich

PERSON SPECIFICATION

  • Ideal for Psychology Graduates
  • The perfect experience for an aspiring Speech & Language Therapists
  • It's essential that you have previous experience using Makaton / BSL
  • Must be a caring and supportive individual that is prepared to put the children first
  • Good understanding of the SEN curriculum
