SEN Teaching Assistant
ASD Support - Reception Class
Lewisham
£75 - £90 per day dependent on experience
An excellent Mainstream Primary School based in Lewisham, are looking for teaching assistants to join them this term. This is a 1:1 SEN opportunity for a graduate or experienced teaching assistant to support an SEN Child at school currently working in Reception. A one year contract is on offer and there are currently three vacancies open; one to work with a child with ASD, one to support a child with EBD and another to work with a child with SEMH. A teaching assistant with experience in a similar position or a theoretical understanding of SEN is suitable for this role.
The Primary school would ideally like to meet candidates who have a degree and who have some experience working with Special Educational Needs e.g. Autism, ADHD, dyslexia. This role will entail a variety of responsibilities and will offer excellent experience for the teaching assistant appointed. Minimum standards will include Maths and English at GCSE graded C or above.

The Primary school in Lewisham, are looking for dynamic teaching assistants who are energetic and passionate about their input into a child's education. The teaching assistant will be supporting the children in their numeracy and literacy within KS1 and KS2 and the teaching assistant's primary role will be to ensure each child is fulfilling the learning objective for each lesson.
There are SEND children within each class and your role will be to support their individual needs. The needs include ADHD, ASD, dyslexia, global delay, SEMH, physical and behavioural challenges. Experience working with one or more of these is ideal for this role.
This is a fantastic platform for aspiring teachers to gain valuable experience in preparation for completing their teacher training the following year. This is a teacher training school meaning that successful TAs can consequently be enrolled on to the School's Direct Teacher Training Programme.
