SEN Teaching Assistant - Croydon

Salary: £70 - £85 per day (depending on experience)


Remedy Education are currently working with a Special Needs school based in Croydon who are looking for a Teaching Assistant specialising in Challenging Behaviour/Autism. The position will be based within there Learning Centre in a small class supporting students with Emotional & Behavioural Disorders and Social, Emotional & Mental Health problems.

My client is looking for an TA with a strong personality and confidence to work with students aged 6 - 13. Students are non-verbal and are all on the spectrum for Autism and range from low to high. You will be working on a 1:1 basis with the students.

If you're someone who can take an objective approach to dealing with challenging behaviour, exercise patience and has experience with dealing with challenging behaviours then this role will be ideal for you.

Previous experience in PRU school or worked with challenging behaviours before then that will be beneficial in this role.

• EBD/SEMH experience
• ASD experience
• Personal care experience (not essential)

To be eligible to apply for this position, you must have experience working with children with behavioural, emotional and social difficulties. You will be available to start ASAP and be able to work full school hours 5 days per week
