A rare opportunity has arisen for an adaptable Teaching Assistant with an interest in Special Educational Needs (SEN) who is searching for a role which is both challenging and rewarding in equal measures.

The position based in the Borough of Southwark will be focused around supporting Primary School children who have been diagnosed with Autism (ASD) & ADHD. The SENCO has shown an interest in Psychology & Sociology graduates who are keen to be challenged daily and gain a better insight into ABA (Applied Behaviour Analysis).

JOB DESCRIPTION

• SEN Teaching Assistant
• ABA (Applied Behaviour Analysis) focus
• Supporting children who have been diagnosed with Autism (ASD) & ADHD
• Assisting the class teacher to deliver the lesson objectives
• Utilising and implementing Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) techniques
• Working alongside IHCP (Independent Healthcare Plans)
• ASAP Start - Long-term - Full time
• £70 - £85 per day
• Located in the Borough of Southwark

PERSON SPECIFICATION

• You must have a Degree from a reputable University
• Must have a good understanding of Autism (ASD) & ABA
• Previous relevant experience, paid or voluntary, would be of interest
• You must welcome challenging work, adaptable, caring and be passionate about SEN
• You must be resilient, adaptable and willing to embrace new techniques
