Morning sessions initially - full days to follow

Remedy Education are currently looking for a SEND Teaching Assistant to support a small group of children with SEND, predominantly autism, in a supportive school setting in South East London.

The role will initially be mornings only, with the opportunity to move to full-time hours.

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has experience working with children with SEND/autism, ideally within EYFS or KS1
  • Is calm, patient and consistent when supporting children with regulation
  • Is proactive and confident, able to take initiative without always waiting to be directed
  • Can support communication, including children with limited or emerging spoken language
  • Is confident using visual supports, individual targets and structured activities
  • Can support learning through play, continuous provision and focused 1:1/small-group activities
  • Is flexible and able to adapt to individual needs
  • Communicates well with children and adults
  • Is reliable and able to provide consistency

We are ideally looking to identify a couple of suitable candidates who may be available to meet or trial for the role.
